Many Thanks

In any organization, it is important to recognize milestones in the work lives of its employees. This is especially true in churches. In September we celebrated the work anniversaries of four members of our church staff, and I wanted to say thank you to each of them.

Connie Burleson, our church organist, joined our staff five years ago and has become a beloved member of our choir and an integral part of our church family. Every Sunday morning, she makes the organ sing with beautiful music in praise of Almighty God. Her dedication is obvious to anyone who listens to her playing, but it is especially clear to those of us who are here during the week when she comes in to practice.

Lisa Gregory joined our staff five years ago as the director of our preschool. In those five years, she has molded our preschool into a shining example of a Christ centered program that prepares young ones to be successful in school. This year we added a third classroom, and now more than forty 2-4 year-olds walk through our doors every week.

Eddie Towner joined our staff five years ago as our custodian and maintenance director. He had served on the team that helped with our renovation and construction. Eddie’s work includes setting up for our many programs during the week, cleaning, general maintenance, and grounds keeping. He is a friendly ambassador for the church to all who walk in our doors.

Lynnae Benton joined us six years ago as our Children’s Choir Club Director. She has a great love of children and a desire to teach them to praise God through music. She has prepared the children to present moving and meaning presentations throughout the years, and they have fun doing it!

On behalf of the entire church, I would like to thank each of them for their part in helping our church become a community where people are being transformed into the image of Christ! We are blessed to have such a dedicated staff.

Grace and peace to each of you!
Your friend and pastor,
Pastor Lee
