CONTEMPORARY WORSHIP SERVICE

“It was the duty of the trumpeters and singers
to make themselves heard in unison
in praise and thanksgiving to the Lord,
and when the song was raised, with trumpets and cymbals
and other musical instruments, in praise to the Lord…
the glory of the Lord filled the house of God.”

SCHEDULE

The contemporary service meets in in the Fellowship Hall at 9:00 a.m. each Sunday, from the second Sunday in September through the last Sunday in May. Sunday School for all ages meets after the service, at 10:00 a.m.

From the second first in June through the first Sunday in September, First Presbyterian operates on a summer schedule. We have a one worship service in the sanctuary at 10:00 a.m.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

Dress for contemporary worship is casual.

WHERE DO MY CHILDREN GO?

All children are encouraged to stay in the worship service.
We invite you to stay after worship for our church school for all ages. We have a superb children’s program!

WHERE DO I PARK?

Parking for First Presbyterian is available in our parking lot at the corner of South Main Street and East Third Avenue (across Main Street from the front of the church), in the parking lot of the former Arts United (across West Third Avenue from the church’s side entrance), in the parking lot of Lanier’s Hardware on the corner of State Street and West Third Avenue, and along Third Avenue and South Main Street.

Please note that the parking lot directly behind First Presbyterian, which borders State Street, belongs to our next door neighbors at First United Methodist Church. We thank you for being respectful of them and refraining from parking in their lot.
