OUR STAFF

Rev. Jon Martin holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Aeronautical Engineering from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo and was working for a large aerospace company when he felt a call to ministry. He received his Master of Divinity from Princeton Theological Seminary in 1994 and was ordained as a Minister of the Word and Sacrament in 1996. In addition to serving as Hospital Chaplain at Stanford University Hospital, he has served as an associate pastor in Martinsville, Virginia, as the solo Pastor of two  churches (Kentucky and Virginia), and currently serves in the United States Navy Reserve as a Chaplain. 
 
Rev. Martin is married to Susanne, who is also a Presbyterian minister. They have two grown children and a pet golden retriever. When he wants to decompress, Rev. Martin sits on his patio and sips coffee. He also enjoys making things out of wood in his workshop and undertaking DIY projects around the house or yard with his wife. 
 

Shelley Jennings, Director of Music

Shelley holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in music from Salem College and a Master of Music degree from University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She has served as Director of Music at Lebanon United Methodist Church in High Point, NC for ten years. Shelley is also the part-time lower school music teacher at Westchester Country Day School. Prior to teaching at Westchester, she was an elementary music teacher for Davidson County Schools, serving mainly the West Davidson area. Shelley is married to Dustin, a professional trumpet player and middle school band director. They have a young son.
