Prayer Focus for the Week of September 12
Almighty God, You have provided us examples in the faith – grandparents, parents, friends, mentors – to show us how to be Your disciples. You have pursued us with Your great love, You have chosen us, and You have called us to be Your people. Help us to live into our calling, to serve and love as Your Son served and loved, that we might light the way for others to come to You through faith in Christ Jesus, for it is in His name we pray. Amen.

Prayer Focus for the Week of September 19
Gracious Lord, You are a God of variety and diversity. We see this in the changing of the seasons, in our flora and fauna, and in our own human race. Help us to see and appreciate this variety and diversity and to recognize that it comes from Your hands, the Creator of all things. Let us give thanks with grateful hearts for it, and grant us a new appreciation for the beauty that You have placed in our world. Help us to embrace those things which make us unique, as well as those commonalities that draw us together, without denigrating one for the sake of the other, that in doing so, we may learn to not only love ourselves but our neighbors as well. We give You thanks and praise in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Prayer Focus for the Week of September 26
Father-God, we lift up to you all those who are hurting, but we particularly remember those who suffer in silence – victims of abuse, neglect, and injustice – some of whom are too weak to speak up and others who have been robbed of their voice through threats and punishment. We ask You to give courage to those who need to speak up or to leave their situation. Strengthen those who are weak and encourage their hearts. Grant all of them Your protection, surround them with Your love, and remind them that they are not alone. Thank You, Father, for never forgetting the least of these, the outcast, the marginalized, and the silenced. Amen.
