World Communion Sunday, October 3, 2021

This Sunday, October 3, we gather together for one blended worship service (only) at 11:00. The first Sunday of October is World Communion Sunday, and we will have a very special service to focus on Christ’s presence with us at the Table. The Choir and Crossroads Praise Band will combine for our first hymn, and our new interim organist, Stan Grady, will be with us for the first time. A number of adults and children will help to lead worship this day as we celebrate the sacrament of Communion together.
This Sunday, October 3 also marks our first “Noisy Offering” Sunday. Children are encouraged to bring their offering jar of coins for our offering during Children at Worship. If you do not have a special jar that was given out in September, there are extras on the table in the office hallway. Let’s make a joyful noise as we give thanksgiving to God!
Also, please remember to bring your completed Time & Talent commitment form to worship with you on Sunday, October 3rd. If you need extra forms, they are available in the lobby. By completing a form, you signify your willingness to participate in the ministry and mission of this congregation. God has blessed each of us with special gifts and time. Don’t hide them under a bushel! Let your light shine with joy and thanksgiving as you serve the Lord through First Presbyterian Church.
We look forward to seeing everyone at 11:00 this Sunday, October 3, with Sunday School at its regular time of 10:00.
